Hello Lover

All I have been able to think about today are these shoes...
 FA-EIRCE.
I think these Brian Atwood heels would make a lovely addition to my wardrobe.
You can find them here. And they're on sale!

I know, clever, right?
I am so in love with Emma Stone right now and all of her wonderful fashion choices.
She does make some missteps, but I'll ignore those for the time being.

Here are my top 10 favorite looks...

Giambattista Valli
You already know how much I love this dress.

Tom Ford

Lovely, isn't she?
She definitely is one closet I would love to raid.

Holiday Wish-List

I survived cooking my second Thanksgiving meal. And I must say, I did much better than last year.
I brined my turkey this year, which I have never done by myself and not to toot my horn, but toot toot.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it seems Christmas is right around the corner.
I've gathered a few things from my Christmas List to share with you.
Yes, I still make one.

J. Crew Majesty Peacoat

Hunter Original Gloss Tall Boot

Kate Spade Spike the Punch Sweater

David Yurman Cable Classics Bracelet Aqua Chalcedony

Furbish Spotted Ottoman Tray

Kate Spade Taxi Mittens

Stubbs & Wootton Jane True Needlepoint

J. Crew Vintage Matchstick Cord

Not too shabby, right?
What's on your wish-list this year??

Thanksgiving Tunes

The lovely Tory Burch just made my Thanksgiving much easier.
I am cooking for about 12 people and for me, that's a little overwhelming.
To ease my nerves, Tory compiled a list of songs suitable for Thanksgiving and also made her way onto my list of things to be thankful for.

Check out the songs here.
Downloading will commence as soon as I get home from work.

Oh, and did I mention I feel like death? Yeah, awesome.
Hope everyone is in much better spirits than I am at the moment and whatever you do, don't burn the turkey.

I'm Back...

...and about 10 pounds heavier than I was 2 weeks ago.
So I'm pretty slow moving.
Which is great for my j-o-b.
Here are some things that are much more awesome than I am today. Brought to you by the latest Lonny.

This room is everything. Pillows and side table just to start off with...

Deep turquoise walls and that rug. That rug.
I would move into this bedroom tomorrow.
Always a sucker for zebra print, mirrored furniture and Leontine.
Nail head details on those chairs. Shut up right now.

But, that's pretty much the only nice things I have to say about this issue. Oh, and any feature on Jonathan Adler makes me smile, but overall, blah.

Weekend Recap

So my mommala was here for a whopping 30-ish hours, but we managed to cram a ton of fun activities into her stay. First, we had breakfast at one of the finest restaurants around, Waffle House.

And I'm not ashamed to say I eat there.
I love it.
I also appreciate the fact that they are an equal opportunity employer-teeth not required.
In all seriousness, the waffles are the heat and I could eat them all day, every day.

Next we hit up the movies to go see J. Edgar, which I thought was wonderful.
*Feel like this is turning into a food and movie review blog? Ugh, that's my awesome life!*

Anyways, with $40 of treats in hand, we watched Leo Dio and Armie Hottiepants for what seemed like 4 hours. While walking out of the movie, I declared 3 things.
1. Leo and Armie were great and will both get Oscar noms
2. The make-up was fabulous
3. J. Edgar didn't seem like that bad of a guy

So here's the deal. I got shot down on all 3 counts. 0/3 people. Not good.

Tony declared that he actually hated Armie Hottiepants' performance because when playing an old, old man he remained standing perfectly straight and his voice never changed. Small details.

The review I read as soon as we got home said that the entire movie was overshadowed by the horrible make-up that made the actors look like Mr. Potato Head. There goes my confidence in how I do my own make-up.

My moral compass must be really out of whack, as my mother was horrified that I thought J. Edgar was a stand up guy. The whole car ride home was spent with her ranting to me about how in our country, you can't just deport, fire, spy on, blackmail, and wire tap people. You can't?

For din din we went to El Cazador, which has the best Mexican food in town and margaritas flow like water.
Momma loves herself a good margarita.

We also got our nails did in between all of the eating, and overall, had a very nice visit.
I spent all of Sunday crying like a baby after she left.
No seriously, I think I frightened my husband, I was so inconsolable. She's just that cool.

But now there's no time to be sad, Bestie Lexie is coming!

Red and Pink

I recently saw these Tory Burch heels and instantly I was all, "I luff them!"
Maybe it's 'cause I have a slight obsession with the pairing of pink and red
It's definitely not the color combo for everyone

But it sure is for me
Oh, and Miles Redd loves it too
Need I say more?

Ok, I'm well aware that this is a weak post.

I'm all sorts of wonk-a-doo from having a house guest last weekend and preparing for another house guest this weekend. Not that I don't love my visitors-my momma is basically my favoritest person eva and this weekend my bestie Lexie (on purpose) is coming-it's just a lot of activities for ole me.

Less neglect tomorrow.

Mommala is Coming to Town!

Like Santa Clause, but much cuter.
This crazy little lady is flying to North Carolina tomorrow and I cannot wait to see her.
I mean, check out that hair. Rock. Star.
We are completely two peas in a pod.

And this is how she parties.
We are going to have a blast this weekend. I will keep you posted.

Stripe Hype

I keep a folder on my desktop where I save home related junk and I've recently been trying to ease Tony into my design aesthetic by showing him some pictures from time to time.
Because let's face it, if it were up to him, our house would look like a Restoration Hardware catalog.
Not that that's a bad thing, but floor to ceiling beige/cream in every room would drive me insane.

Yesterday I showed hims this bathroom. Which is one of my favoritest ever ever bathrooms.
To my surprise, he liked it.
Progress.

And then I realized how many rooms I have saved that are full of stripes. It makes me think that I am going to need a lot of restraint to limit my stripes to one, err, two rooms.
 More stripe bathroom goodness.

Entry/Hallway

Bedrooms

Living Room

Kitchen/Dining

I mean, am I just destined to live in a glorified circus tent?

How do you feel about stripes in the home?
Love it or leave it?
